An especially sleek portrait-length prime, the 56mm f/1.4 DC DN is part of Sigma’s Contemporary series of lenses, and is designed for use with APS-C-format Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens is characterized by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, which suits working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers improved control over depth of field for isolating subjects and working with selective focus techniques. The optical design utilizes two aspherical elements and one SLD element, which help to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness and clarity. Excellent close-up performance

This lens offers excellent close-up performance for a zoom. Minimum focus is 1.32 ft (0.4 m) at 70 mm and 2.69 ft (0.82 m) at 200 mm. Maximum magnification is 0.3x. Deep bokeh at F2.8 adds extra-expressive close-up capability. Floating focus ensures pinpoint sharpness even at minimum focus distance, while inner focus makes it easy to get close.

XA element for breath-taking resolution

Superior G Master resolution is achieved throughout the entire 70 mm to 200 mm zoom range at all focusing distances. Two aspherical lens elements, one an XA (extreme aspherical) type manufactured to 0.01-micron surface precision, effectively control distance-related aberration so that outstanding resolution is ensured throughout the image area.

New high-performance aperture unit

Even the aperture unit in this lens has been refined to meet the highest G Master quality standards. A newly developed 11-blade aperture unit that remains almost perfectly circular, from wide open to stopped down by two stops, helps to deliver the kind of natural-looking circular bokeh users have come to expect from a G Master design.

Fast, precise autofocus

This lens works with α series bodies to reliably focus on and smoothly track even fast-moving subjects. Four high-thrust XD Linear Motors and advanced control technology deliver up to 4x faster AF than the SEL70200GM. Focus tracking capability while zooming is improved by approximately 30% compared to the SEL70200GM.

High-performance teleconverters

Optional high-performance 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters extend the lens’s focal length to a maximum of 400 mm (600 mm on an APS-C body) at F5.6. Full G Master quality is maintained when the teleconverters are in use. Maximum aperture with the 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters is F4 and F5.6, respectively.

The 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) is a fast-aperture standard zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The lens is the successor to the popular 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036), the lens that flipped conventional thinking about standard zoom lenses upside down. High definition and spectacular image quality are the key areas of advancements. The 28-75mm F2.8 G2 features a redesigned optical system but maintains a size similar to its predecessor. The lens provides exceptionally good optical performance, edge-to-edge across the frame, throughout the entire zoom range, along with the soft, beautiful bokeh effects that are distinctive to fast-aperture lenses. The AF drive is equipped with TAMRON’s linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) to enable high speed, high precision auto-focusing. Closeup shooting capabilities have also been improved and achieve an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.18m (7.1in) at the 28mm wide end, and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7. For example, users can reverse the direction of the focus ring during manual focus. Additionally, TAMRON has adopted a new design with improved ergonomics and revised the coating of the lens exterior to improve scratch resistance. The filter size is 67mm, which is standard among TAMRON’s fast-aperture zoom lens series and enables the sharing of lens caps, filters, and other accessories. In addition to features such as Moisture-Resistant Construction and a protective Fluorine Coating, the lens supports various features built into mirrorless cameras, including Eye AF, in-camera lens corrections (shading, chromatic aberration, distortion) and more.
