Very bad extended warranty with only reimbursement option then the repair one
I purchased this warranty along with the laptop as suggested by amazon. After 1 year my product developed some snag. On filing for warranty, I got a technician visit scheduled for 4 days ahead. On the said day, I received a call from the claim department telling me that I need to arrange various documents- Foremost being an estimate from authorized lenovo service centre, upload them and then they will process it further for reimbursement. Apparently, there is no technician visit and only reimbursement after tedious process if they find the estimate satisfactory. It took them 4 days to just tell me the process. Following is the requirement sent to me by mail1- Product purchase invoice.2- Warranty Slip / Pslip of the appliance.3- Acko plan purchase invoice.4- Multiple images and a short video of the product where we can see the issue.5- Serial number image of the product.6- System-generated estimate from the authorized service center where the details of the customer, service center including the reachable contact number, and the appliance will be mentioned along with the serial number of the appliance, GSTIN number of the service center, and the service request number of the brand, seal, and signature of the authorized service center and the cause of the damage.6- System-generated repair invoice from the authorized service center for the physical damage repair carried out previously where the details of the customer, service center including the reachable contact number, and the appliance will be mentioned along with the serial number of the appliance, GSTIN number of the service center, and the service request number of the brand, seal, and signature of the authorized service center and the cause of the damage.This being my work laptop , i am in a limbo whether to buy a new one first and pursue this tedious claim process or not. In short avoid Acko products
