Pros1. Great sound quality;2. Strudy strap;3. Bose Music app and Alexa sensitivity are perfect.4. Airplay compatible for Apple users.Cons1. Mysteriously stops working or does not connect to the wifi sometimes.2. The battery percentage read out on pressing the power button has stopped working.3. Works great on Bluetooth or Airplay connections. But the buttons work erratically. At this price point I would expect nothing less than perfection in all aspects. So overall disappointed with the purchase, but will live with it.

First of all,to understand my rating read till lastAwesomeness- 1.sound with bass2.Mobile application to Control and setup3.Portability4. Sound clarity5. Connectivity (to primary device)6. Voice is clear even at max volumeDownside-1. Too too expensive. Jbl and many other speakers are available for almost 1/3-1/2 the price of this,with nearly similar sound effect (they can’t match bose). Even though I got it in deal at an unbelievable prices (20k),but even then it’s costly2. uneasy connecting other devices. If you want to connect next device with Bluetooth,either disconnect the first one,or use primary device “bose music”app to do that. Since it is Bluetooth 5.0,simultaneously connecting multiple devices should be an ease. ( More over,Sony has a method of connecting,wherein when you attempt to connect new device,the previous one automatically disconnects)3. Major flaw -alexa. It becomes unresponsive after Turning off the device for overnight or more. When called customer care regarding this,they said -ITS FLAW WITH SOFTWARE🙄4. The bass. Actually this is first bose device. I paid a hefty amount for it,as I had a Divine sound kind of picture in my mind. But the bass was great,but just fell short of expectations. Bass is crunchy and feels some lacking power. I already have a F&D tower speakers (powered) almost 1/3rd price of this,but everytime it begins with bose and ends with F&D 😅5. There is some vibrating sound in most of songs at high volume. I can’t make out the issue. But doesn’t feel good in such a productBut ultimately its awesome except price tag

Amazing sound , you can adjust bass treble through bose app.. don’t buy revolve models as clarity wise this is much much better than revolve .. its clarity bass treble vocals are just amazing.. I have companion 5 and this one comes close to it. Only draw back is battery life could have been better..but it’s OK good sound consumes power… you won’t like another bluetooth speaker if you heat this once.. I generally don’t write reviews but doing this because I’m music lover and want people to pick up best

Buy it only for the sound quality.
I was eyeing this bose Bluetooth speaker since a long time but couldn’t purchase it as it was priced at 40K. But recently in the month of June 2024, prices dropped to 29K with Amazon pay offer of around 4K off which brought the prices down significantly and immediately decided to buy it. The sound quality is amazing with true bass and crystal clear pitch. The build quality is great and it requires bose app to setup for either android or Apple phones. Apple has additional airplay option which is a boon as well. I was unaware of the Alexa feature which is better suited with either Spotify or Amazon music. It reacted sluggishly to voice commands and felt little rough. The battery backup is roughly around 9hrs for full charge. Charging takes around 2hrs from 50pc to 100pc. Alexa the next day became unresponsive and never responded to my queries. It always gives orange light when invoked. Third day, the speaker was completely unresponsive so thought of returning it but as there is no replacement available, tried manual troubleshooting. You have to long press play/pause button to reset it and it came back to life. Alexa too was responsive again. But it Alexa does again every time and it has to be reset again. This is a major flaw so please don’t buy it for its smart speaker feature. The sound quality is great though and it does the job of connectivity as well. I would recommend going for another speaker and not to risk your money with this one.

The product is not user friendly and has too many dependencies. Sound through bluetooth is worse than ₹5000 mobile phone speakers.Better cheaper versions with more functionalities, compatabilities available.Interaction with Alexa app is again not friendly. Despite having a 500mbps connection Alexa keeps going out of sync. Speaker doesn’t remain connected even while in the house.Theres no single app to control the speaker.Pathetic and user troubling product from Bose.

I currently own a variety of portable speakers, hard wired speakers and a home theater system. I have always been a fan of BOSE for the sounddock systems and the portable battery powered Revolve +. Bose is known for over emphasized & artificially created soundstage. However, this in my opinion is a positive when it comes to small portable speakers. When the first BOSE sounddock came out years ago I was amazed at how big and full it sounded for it’s size. I have had a few generations of that one and now they have the Bose Soundtouch 10,20,30 series. I own the series 20 and have it at my office. Great smaller hardwired speaker. However, I wanted a portable speaker to take to the beach, pool, my garage, our back porch, yard, etc. The answer was the BOSE Revolve Plus. First time I powered it on I was amazed at the sound and bass for the little size. The battery lasts a long time and being splash proof was nice when we would take to our friends pool. With our growing family I find the revolver plus disappearing more so I was looking to purchase another. I waited a few weeks knowing BOSE was coming out with the newer version that was only slightly bigger, more powerful, deeper bass, WiFi AND now with Alexa and other app capability. I received it about a week ago and it was very easy to hook up to internet, update and run the BOSE app. No issues like some others have had. I really enjoy being able to run it on WiFi at home, but still be able to use Bluetooth if out and about. I think the Sonos app is better, but the Bose app is still ok and seems to get better with updates. (Been using the BOSE app a few years now) After charging, I set it side by side with Revolver plus to see if it was different enough or if I would be sending back for another Revolver plus. I could easily flip back and forth in my Spotify app to move the sound instantly from one back to the other over and over. Tried different genres of music from Country, to Hip Hop to Jazz to Rock. Definitely a warmer and more filling sound with the new BOSE Portable Home Speaker. Louder as well if needed. I thought the Revolver had great sound, but now it sounds a little flatter next to this one. The extra radiator gives a little more bass too which is nice. The size between the two is almost the same with the new Bose being a hair taller and wider and a tad heavier. I have a pic of both above side by side. I skipped the Sonos Move, not because of sound, but its size, weight and portability. No way are you throwing that speaker in a suitcase or car to travel. Much heavier and much bigger in size. The size of this speaker and grab handle make it excellent for taking anywhere with you. Add the built-in Alexa and you get a great speaker. Yes, it is a tad pricey. If you are considering the Revolve plus, spend the extra $50 for this one. You won’t be sorry. Overall I am very satisfied with this speaker. Very clear highs, “ok” mid-range and decent bass for the size. I also like you can adjust the bass and treble on this one where the Revolve you cannot. I currently own a Sonos Play 5, which I love and use in my family room. I also own a Sonos Beam for a center in the family room. Both are great for that room and I really like the Sonos app. I also have a Martin Logan theater system in the basement. This Bose is honestly not that far behind the Play 5 which is mind boggling. Just shows you what a great job BOSE can do with such a tiny footprint. To sum up, if you want a portable speaker that you can actually take with you easily to the beach, pool, yard, gym or anywhere, I don’t think this speaker will disappoint for the size, sound, Alexa capability and battery life. Well done BOSE!

A game changer. I bought this with the base charger and subscribed to Amazon music. Great sound and Alexa voice controlled search for playlists and favorite bands. A bit pricey but with Bose sound and Amazon Music it is totally worth it. We move it frequently around the house so base charger and carrying handle it is highly portable.
