Straight out of the box, this leather camera bag was a winner. This bag strikes the perfect balance between packability and portability, and combines good looks with durability. I have a leather backpack, a leather duffle and a small cloth camera bag — but my leather pack and duffle, while of superior build, were both too big and too heavy for everyday use not requiring a full client kit. Meanwhile, my small, cloth camera bag was too puny and flimsy to hold anything more than my camera with one lens, a wallet and a phone. When you get to a certain place in your career, you can’t just bring one lens or leave your flash behind just because you’re going out to take pics for fun. My overstuffed cloth bag began to stretch out of shape and the zippers finally broke. I really needed something that was leather and would last, but not be too bulky. I also purchased a DRF brand BG167 padded insert that fit this bag perfectly. This is now a perfect, daily non-client day bag with enough room to hold my mirrorless camera, a 135mm 1.8 prime, a 10-18mm 2.8 zoom, battery pack, flash, flash modifiers, filters, phone, travel first aid kit, glasses, wallet, travel flashlight, keys…I could go on because I’m still pulling stuff out, but I don’t want a huge repacking project, but you get the idea. As well, when delivered, the leather was super nice: the bag came fully conditioned and in full form straight out of the box — it was not shipped vacuumed into a little square like how some other leather items are — no wrinkles to have smooth out. The bag looks exactly like the picture* of the girl wearing it over her shoulder in their advertising. (* Note, people often complain about advertised item colors not matching what was delivered, but they don’t take into consideration that the computer screen they are viewing the item on might be in need of color calibration. My screen is color calibrated, and the item matched.) Couldn’t recommend this bag more highly, especially with the insert I found for it.

This bag fits under the seat in front of you for air travel. It has a double zipper that can take a small padlock, and an adjustable strap. It is reasonably water proof in light rain (water beads up on it). I recommend saddle soap or an oil waterproofer after using it for a while. The leather is quite thick, so it does protect the gear inside, but is also somewhat heavy. Love the bag’s outside pockets with a belt buckle closure. Would buy again.

I ordered this product as a bag for my traveling watercolor supplies.Good things: I was scared because of the reviews of similar Indian crafted bags complaining about the smell. I must say it has almost no smell, it probably smells a little bit like some seed oil, but nothing else. Seems sturdy, the stitches although slightly irregular are ok(fair for something that is advertised as hand crafted). Quite big, probably 2 inches bigger than how it looks in the pictures, and on the model that is wearing it. So lots of space. Cushioning also ok, no missing stitches there either. Buckles and metal also ok, maybe also with a very “crafty/vintage” look, but sill, nothing that was not advertised. Not so good things: Even though it looks bright in the pictures, the paint is not; quite opaque brown. The leather is very thin and for now its stiff. I hope both details can be somewhat fixed with some balm and leather protecting products, and also with use. Im not used to goat leather, its not produced in my country, but as it was noted in another review its quite thin and for now stiff. I dont know if that is to be expected of it. Regarding craftmanship, there are some details as little pieces of uncut leather, or the strap in the picture. But none of them compromise the structure of the bag.In summary I believe its quite a good purchase for the price. And it arrived to where I live in South America in less than a week.I would buy more products from the supplier
