Best phone in Sub 30k segment
I switched from Samsung M51 to OnePlus 10R and my review is based on that.Pros1. The screen is top notch with the touch sensitivity and refresh rate making it amazing in terms of clarity.2. The cameras, both front and back are very good at capturing detail.3. I switched from Samsung to OnePlus and found this phone equally easy to use. Although Samsung still gives you best in ease of use.4. Charger is provided with the phone which is something most top brands have stopped doing it.5. Charging is pretty fast and I have experienced 3% to 100% in just over 30 minutes.6. I have not faced any phone heating issues but then I do not play games on my phone and I am a moderate user.Cons1. There is no external SD card slot. But that is the case with almost all top brands. Cloud storage or use of pen drives (via OTG) to back your data are options that we have.2. The option to better arrange/customize the app menu is not available.3. I tried the screencast option to display my phone content on the TV and it still hasn’t worked for me. I will try again. But it was much easier on a Samsung.4. The battery life is fair but it does not last more than 1 and a half day. This is definitely not a gaming phone.5. Connecting my Samsung Gear S3 takes exactly a minute more than it did on an M51.6. The earphone slot is given a miss so you have to have BT earphones which is again a common switch for almost all top brands.OnePlus 10R is an amazing phone compared to M51 despite all the limitations clearly because of the display and camera along with the ease of use. The battery may not last as much but the charging is much faster.

Long term used
Acquired in October 2022, my OnePlus 10R has served as my primary smartphone. The device featured a highly competitive camera and processor at the time, delivering robust performance and photographic capabilities. My user experience has been consistently positive, largely due to the smooth and well-optimized OxygenOS. The phone continues to function effectively as my main device, a testament to its long-term durability and software stability.”

Disappointed After Long-Term Use – Overheating and Sudden Shutdown Issues.
Disappointed After Long-Term Use – Overheating and Sudden Shutdown Issues.I’ve been using the OnePlus 10R 5G for the past 18 months. Initially, the phone worked fine, though I started facing issues just 2–3 months after purchase. The main problem is that the phone suddenly switches off while using it and sometimes becomes extremely hot—even when it’s not in use. What’s more frustrating is that occasionally the screen goes completely black (as if the phone is dead), but the device is still on and continues to overheat. I don’t overuse the phone at all and use it only for basic tasks, yet these problems persist. Now, after 18 months, the phone has become almost impossible to use. I’m constantly trying to turn it back on, and it either stays dead or keeps overheating without any reason. This has caused a lot of inconvenience, and I’ve lost trust in the device’s reliability.Other than this major issue, the phone’s performance and features were decent. But what’s the point if the device can’t even stay on or cool?I expected better long-term quality from OnePlus. I hope the company looks into this issue seriously and offers some support or solution for affected users.
