   Mysterious is music , Movies will blow you away.
   Well after falling in all the hype about combining a capable enough dsp dac amp with an open back headphone a person is propelled into a world of blissful surround sounds i decided to try this hands down once and for all.After about half an hour of burning the headphones in with some 24bit Flac songs i went ahead to test it.Played multiple songs and movies via the Walkman , X3 amp , Note 9 phone.First impressions:Build : The build quality is excellent, it’s all plastic that seems like it is made to last and keep it light for comfort. The mechanism also feels reliable.So 5/5Comfort:Very good , not fatigued after 1 hour , No unwarranted peaks in any frequencies.Its winters here in the north so it also doubled up as a scarf insulating my ears from the peircing cold.Sound isolation:Well what would one expect from an open back , it’s terrible.But it is what it is.You have to be alone and in a quite environment to listen to these.Sound will leak both ways.Package contents:Well the box that comes with it is unimpressive, it is a waste like soft cardboard box which is labeled as “frustration free” packaging, it’s all nonsense.If it was a good quality box one would use it to keep the headphones after use safely,and won’t throw it away.No i will have to purchase a headphone case adding more to the environmental damage.You get two cables one being a 6mm and one 3.5mm with a 6mm to3.5mm converter plug.Sennheiser took good care in that area.Sound :Well i come from using the following in order of magnitudeMost vintage models of Sony tape walkman headphones and earphonesMdr xb 60exMdr xb500Mdr xb 90exMdr xb 75ap ( Skull rattler )Mdr ex220Asus rog headsetXba H3 ( My personal favorite in all areas )Shure se 846 ( Skull breaker , My almost perfect set but gets beaten in High frequency department)As you can see there is only two over the ear headphones.Now i have always been disappointed by the music of over the head headphones due to lack of proper Isolation and driver limitations.Being my first open back This HD559 is no different to closed back in music department.Music coming out of it is unimpressive , you get almost no proper bass rumbles in the tracks that have them but maybe it’s my fault.(more on that later).The soundstage although quite good does not impress you enough to warrant the sacrifice in sound isolation and lower frequencies.Sometimes some songs get tinny and empty, sometimes they come out good but never great.Apart from that i maybe wrong with my eqs and settings i will update after a week of listening.Movies : WTFThis has blown all my in ear headphones far away , nothing comes close to the immersive theater like experience while pairing it with the X3 amp and switching on the xfi.You are instantly placed in a premium position of a proper dts tuned theater seat.All the action is all around you and dialog of the actors are clear and crisp even during intense explosions and gunfire.Things are properly imaged bodies dropping to the ground , bullets whirring past you thunders in the sky everything is represented perfectly.Imaging is more vertical than horizontal.Now the bass : While the music had no bass on it , on movies while on xfi turned on the bass reaches skull rattling levels without getting distorted or overlapping any other frequencies.It is unreal and brings a huge smile on your face and the only reason i did not return these back.The explosions shake you bullets fired seem real , thunders are near to being real.For movies this is the ultimate solution for me the END GAME so to say.Haven’t tested it yet on games but have heard quite a praise for them in that regard.Conclusion:These mysterious headphones struggle to pump up the proper bass notes on music but will pummel your head in movies.Maybe i am doing something wrong on my amp but i have tried to bring it on the music by various ways.The world shattering bass is there waiting to be unleashed but with mysterious ways.The mids are perfect for both Male and females all the frequencies are present and quite powerful.The highs are a bit laid back and roll off at the highest levels quite quickly , whenever you will need them desperately they will bail out on you.But overall they are fine.Is it worth the money ?.For movies absolutely. 100%For music MaybeFor games , haven’t tested yet but i am confident they will excel in that department.Very good product.Highly satisfied.

   I’d say the things people have said about this headphone’s comfort level are NOT exaggerated or dramatized. This is the comfort king! Coming from earphones and IEMs, these things are a delight to wear and do not induce stress, which we normally feel after listening to music for long durations from IEMs, etc. I’m currently using this during the winter season so my ears don’t get heated a lot even after an hour of usage. Will see how it performs in the summer season.I was curious to try an open-back headphone and I’ve been lurking on r/headphones for quite a while – taking opinions from people on whether it would be a solid upgrade over my chi-fi IEMs (CCA PLA13 planars). It was a risky endeavour so I did not want to go with a high-end model and this headphone fell perfectly in my budget range.I had read some negatives about this headphone when it comes to sound quality – that the sound appears muffled. Sadly, it is true that bass is overpowering and makes the sound muffled in certain situations. Now you may wonder why I still gave this a positive review. Well, let me tell you about the wonderful world of EQing headphones. EQ can completely transform the sound of your headphones. You can use EqualizerAPO + peace software combination to EQ the headphones (look up EQ profiles for HD 599SE on Google). I would suggest going with a Harman target profile as it sounds the best in general. One thing I would say is this headphone will not please users who listen to Rock/Grunge/Metal/Hip-Hop. in my opinion – IEMs perform better for those genres.I’m still discovering new things about this headphone and will keep updating this review if needed. Overall, I think this headphone is perfect for those who want to transition into the audiophile realm to experience high-fidelity music.

   Best entry level audiophile headphones.
   best sound quality and clarity for the price point. Pls note this is open back headphone so sound will defiantly leak and other’s will be able to hear what your listening, but for personal use in a quite environment you can go for this without any second thought. For some it might feel flat sounding and less bass but that’s what these headphones are made for 🙂

   Nach einem Jahr im Einsatz kann ich diesen Kopfhörern eine sehr gute Bewertung geben. Sie sind auch im Dauereinsatz sehr bequem zu tragen und zeichnen sich durch einen sehr guten Klang sowohl im Gaming als auch bei Musik und Filmen aus. Außerdem sind sie solide verarbeitet, auch wenn es bei dem Preis halt viel Plastik und keine Premiummaterialien sind. Dazu kann er auch ohne DAC sehr gut am Mainboard des PCs betrieben werden. Mit DAC sind die Kopfhörer fast ein wenig zu laut.Wer diesen Kopfhörer im Angebot kauft, der wird denke ich damit sehr glücklich werden.

   Recensisco queste cuffie a distanza di 2 anni dall’acquisto, dopo averle provate in tutte le salse traggo le mie conclusioni!Premetto non sono un audiofilo ma amo ascoltare i suoni, che sia musica, film, gaming, documentari non importa, l’audio per me ha una valenza pari a quella dell’immagine se non superiore.Le Sennheiser HD 599 sono delle ottime cuffie, leggere non solo nel peso ma anche nei materiali, in particolare le imbottiture sia dei padiglioni che nell’archetto superiore, sono talmente leggere che ci si dimentica letteralmente di indossarle e più volte ho rischiato di far volare il mio notebook quando mi sono alzato senza toglierle!I padiglioni sono molto ampi e avvolgono le orecchie completamente, sono in una specie di velluto che non fa sudare nemmeno in estate (cosa non di poco conto ultimamente) e che a distanza di 2 anni non si è minimamente rovinato. Qualità costruttiva promossa anche se di plastica.Sono delle cuffie “open ear” caratteristica per me essenziale in quanto le utilizzo in ambiente domestico e non ho necessità di isolarmi dai rumori esterni, anzi.Il suono è nitido, cristallino, i bassi sono caldi, decisi ma non troppo marcati. Ho trovato le prestazioni di queste cuffie adatte a qualsiasi uso io ne abbia fatto, passando dal gaming alla musica.In conclusione, consiglio queste cuffie a tutti coloro che cercano un paio di cuffie open ear di qualità, che eccellono un po’ in tutto e che non costano tantissimo. Se state passando da un paio di auricolari o di cuffie di bassa qualità vi si aprirà un mondo e non riuscirete più a farne a meno.Non consiglio ovviamente queste cuffie a coloro che cercano delle cuffie insonorizzate o che hanno esigenza di ascoltare musica anche all’esterno in quanto non è questo il loro obiettivo. Le sconsiglio anche a coloro che necessitano di bassi molto molto marcati.Le ricomprerei? Assolutamente si!Voto ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

   Tested with ifi Zen DacThese are just amazing, they are very light and with little clamping force, it is easy to forget you have them on and you can wear them forever with no discomfort, the pads a re the first I have ever owned that do not touch my ears at all. They even look gorgeous in ivory and brown. There is no wireless option here, nor any noise cancelling, you just get amazing sound from them.At 50 Ohms, these are easy enough for a phone to drive but you may also want to consider a headphone amp to really give these phones the best signal to work with.Sound wise, the sound is very relaxed, I was concerned that after previous Sennheisers, these would have a very boomy bass, they don’t, they have sufficient bass though they probably wouldn’t be suited to bass heads. mids and highs are relaxed which I like for the evening when I am just listening. I have headphones and earphones which have far livlier highs but these I find to be tiring. One thing to note is they are not forgiving at all of poorly recorded or mastered tracks. You can stream the high bit rates from spotify or tidal and they will sound great but if there is source is poor and has too much dynamic compression these will let you know about it so things like China in Your Hands will sound like garbage even from vinyl or SACD.The sound stage is not the widest I have heard but things do exist outside your head whilst listening, I have sometimes found myself wondering and checking that my speakers were not also playing the music.As these are open backed, you will hear the world around you and they will hear your music, so they are best listened to alone.I listen to most types of music and have found that whilst most types do well on these, classical really shines out on them and you can picture the instruments around you. These are not heaphones for dancing with, or wearing for a workout. They are also not really suited for analytical work in the studio but they don’t try to be for any of those things, they are for relaxing in comfortable chair with a glass of good single malt whisky and for that purpose they are amazing.Update, can I make these 6 stars? They have an undocumented feature, in that they are internally wired as balanced, and if you can find a compatible balanced cable teh sound goes to the next level, it is incredibly clear and the sound stage is wider. Search around for a cable (warning some that claim to be compatible may need slight modification to make the groove in the 2.5mm plug deeper) and you get great sounding balanced headphones for a ridiculously low price.

   Öncelikle ben sıradan bir kullanıcıyım. Müzik dinlemeyi severim bitti bu kadar. İlk defa kulaküstü kaliteli denebilecek bir kulaklık aldım. Yorumlarda ses kartı gerekir diyordu tabi dedim onu da aldım. Bir müzik denedim bu ne ya dedim. Ben hayatımda ilk defa dinliyorum resmen. Aldığım ses kartı da ugreen, şekli şemali düzgün duruyordu diye seçtim yani. Kulaklığın ses seviyesi güzel. Ses yalıtımı pek yok onu da belirtmiş olayım.Sonuç olarak sıradan bir kullanıcı olan benim için (müzik üretmeyen diyelim) başarılı bir alışveriş oldu.
