SmallRig Mini Matte Box Pro 3680 SmallRig Mini Matte Box Pro 3680 is designed for mirrorless cameras to prevent sunlight or other light from causing glare and flare and to control images on the screen. It comes standard with two 4 x 5.65″ filter trays, which can be quickly mounted via slots, and supports multiple plug-in filters at the same time. The top flag opens 180° and its side wings extend 40° for additional light blocking; the side flag is attached to either the matte box or the filter tray via slots and opens 180° to block stray light. The matte box is suitable for various adapter rings (Φ52-95mm, Φ55-95mm, Φ58-95mm, Φ62-95mm, 58-95mm, Φ62-95mm, Φ67-95mm, Φ72-95mm, Φ77-95mm, Φ82-95mm, Φ86-95mm) as well as Φ95mm lenses. Its adapter rings allow quick release of circular filters (including CPL and ND) of up to Φ92.5mm. To secure the lens and prevent shaking, a separately available 15mm LWS Rod Support (ID: 2663) is recommended. This product also comes with a storage bag for quick storage of the matte box and filter trays. Note: 1. The top flag cannot be closed when more than 2 filter trays are installed. 2. Filter frame ID: 3320, please purchase separately. 3. Round filters with an outer diameter of more than 92.5 mm cannot be mounted on the matte box.

I purchased the SmallRig 3680B mini Matte Box Pro. It mounts easily and comes with aluminum 67, 72, 77, and 82mm filter thread mount rings. Allows the use of both circular filters and square filters. Unit is lightweight and blocks light from top and sides. I am very happy with it. Check out the unboxing and installation video I created for more information.

This matte box has a major flaw: it is nearly impossible to install the filter trays properly without using a lot of force, which of course you do not want to use around a 300 dollar filter and a 3000 dollar lens.The problem is the design: you need to slide two plastic trays together with a lot of friction, and the locking device–a set of tiny plastic tabs–do not fit each other well. I’ll be sending it back and spending more on something better and useful.This flaw makes it nearly impossible to change filters in the field, which of course ruins the point of this product.

Just got the matte box. The price is excellent, and it’s very light, but sadly that’s where the good things stop. The matte box feels flimsy. It’s made of quite thin and flexible plastic including the filter trays, and the filter tray system needs the entire front (the part that holds the flags) to be removed to add or subtract filters. I’d be very nervous putting any decent filters in those trays. I’d probably just return it and buy something better, except I’m fairly sure because I opened the box, amazon won’t let me.

Overall it’s ok, but filter trays are so badly made it’s super hard to detach and clip back on. Feels like cheap plastic €1 product that barely fits together when it comes to filter trays mounting procedure. Apart from that it’s ok
