    You will never regret buying this lens.
    It is one among the best lenses I ever used for portrait photography as it’s end result is same as what our eyes are habituated in seeing. Although my lens lost it’s autofocus and I sent through the authorized service centre for replacement.Yet I recommend this as a multipurpose option for mirrorless emount Sony Cameras.

    The Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens is an excellent choice for beginners and enthusiasts. Its wide aperture delivers great bokeh and good details, ideal for portraits and low-light shots. Compact and lightweight, it’s easy to carry around. Autofocus could be faster, but overall, it’s incredible value for the price!

    The cheapest prime Sony has to offer for FF E mount.Amazing for the price it’s offered at.Obviously it’s not perfect. Struggles quite a lot to focus in low light. But for a VFM lens, it’s a steal.Compact as well. Pairs well with A7C

    This lens is the standard for quality, affordability and your intro to professional lenses. It is a well rounded lens that gets a lot of the job done with out needing to change lenses. The color is stunning and at 1.8 you get incredible sharpness and clarity for the picture.The body is a little “too plastic” for what I would expect from Sony but it is their intro to FE and professional lenses. But the value to quality ratio is much higher than anticipated. I use the Sony A7iv and definitely see this lens being my work horse

    I’ve been a Pro Photographer for 40 years and recently transitioned to Sony from Nikon. I usually buy a cheap 50mm as standard but hesitated with this model after seeing the initial reviews. I purchased a Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art (too bulky/heavy), CZ 55mm 1.8 (Nervous Bokeh) and Samyang 50mm 1.4 (Terrible AF Performance) but wasn’t happy with any of them so returned them. This wee lens was on a deal of the day offer recently so I thought I’d take a punt and buy one and try it. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made as this lens is brilliant value for money for £145.00. The lens came supplied with firmware version 3.0.VERDICTExceptionally Sharp, and particularly so at centreClean Bokeh, with exceptionally smooth focus transition and smooth overall renderingLow Chromatic AberrationLight weight and compact sizeThe AF is a tad slow to acquire focus on AFS but is pretty good on AFCThe focusing although somewhat noisy, does not hunt or misfocus at all on any of my bodies.
