I’ve used this for a MacBook Pro, 2012 model.Works very nicely. faster and better than the smaller consistent SSD I had installed prior to this.Comparing it to HDD’s is a no-brainer – as far as the SSD top-brands go, this is pretty much worth it.Transcend do have their own disk cloning software but it works only on windows. You will have to use time-machine or Mac-pilot or something to clone ot back-up & restore when mounting for the first time.I do use a fair amount of graphics & animation softwares and this is pretty seamless.

I got the 256GB model.The Good:It’s fast, definite improvement over standard hard disks. Win7 starts in 7secs or so. My laptop doesn’t have a SATA III interface, luckily this SSD is compatible with SATA II, so it works for my uses. However due to my own system limitations I’m unable to take full advantage of this SSD. The software provided by Transcend online is useful to monitor the SSD health as well as for erasing all data.The Bad:I checked the warranty online, it showed active from the time of manufacture rather than the time of purchase. So mine isn’t exactly 5yr warranty but 4yrs & some months due to the unit being manufactured in ~Oct 2019 or so.Anyways not a deal breaker so far.I did a fresh install if win7 rather than cloning it from my old harddisk. I didn’t create partitions, just used the whole drive for C:I also ordered the Kingston KC600 SSD, using that one in my mom’s laptop for same purpose as above. In comparison, I didn’t notice a difference in performance as such.

Don’t buy it, I spent 35 Thousand to recover my data, failed in 1 N half year.
Worst and expensive loss making product. It stopped working after one and a half year only. It failed , spent more than 35 thousand rupees to recover data. 5 year warranty, but no support available at Amazon.

Good ssd in budget. Flimsy quality, mostly to be used internally and not externally.
I liked the ssd till now but not satisfied by the build quality of it. The metal used is good but not good enough. It is flimsy and it qould be as it is made to work as an internal ssd. In the video, I have shown how it sounds.I will add its performance test when I get a the usb connector that I ordered. All in all, it seems to be a good one. Got it for ₹3045.If using it externally, like me, then please also buy a cover. I will buy it later but for now its awesome.Edit: It got blazing fast speeds of 409 MB/s reads with 361MB/s writes. You might think that these are not good enough compared to other drives. You are true but this I used externally with a sata 3 to usb 3 connector. That brought some bottleneck to its performance. I am sure that it will give me speeds of upto 525+ MB/s if used internally with 450+MB/s of write speeds.

It’s an awesome product “transcend”
Easy to install, light weight, value for money then it was faster then hard disk aand it was faster at the first week then later on it was little bit solwer than it was mensioned but it was a wonderful product which is full to my projects to run faster

Fait largement le boulot. Acheter pour remplacer un HDD vieillissant, il n’y a pas photo demarage du pc en 30 secondes, ensuite tout est fluide, possède son propre cache DRAM, ça peut être intéressant si peu de mémoire sur votre pc.
