Great sound & long-term value
I’ve been using this speaker for years, and there are no battery drain, charging, sound, or quality issues at all. It’s a strong competitor to big brands like JBL.I do face minor connectivity issues sometimes, but it’s still a one-stop solution if you’re searching for a good speaker. The price is a bit higher, but I got it for ₹4,200, which made it a great deal.The rubber tag lasted only a few months, which is okay for this type of material. As a dancer, I can confidently say this was a great investment, especially after wasting money on many cheaper speakers.The best part is the sound quality — punchy bass, balanced treble, and rich vocals.Highly recommended.Note: Review written based on my long-term personal usage.

Build Quality & DesignThe Tribit StormBox Lava boasts a solid build quality with a sturdy and premium feel. The materials used are durable, and the design is sleek and modern. I like the detachable handle. The speaker is on the heavier side but I don’t mind it much.Battery LifeThe battery backup is above average, lasting through long listening sessions without frequent recharging. It’s reliable enough for extended use, whether indoors or outdoors. But won’t last long as the Tribit says,(not in my personalized EQ atleast)Sound Quality & Equalizer PerformanceDefault Equalizer Modes: The factory-set Equalizer presets (XBass and XBass Off) are quite underwhelming. They do not do justice to the speaker’s capabilities and require manual tuning to get the best audio performance.Custom Equalizer Settings: After disabling the factory presets, I created my own Flat, Medium Bass, and Party Equalizer settings. This drastically improved the sound quality, making the speaker perform at its full potential.Sub-Bass Performance: The sub-bass is impressive, even at lower volumes. You can feel the depth and richness of the bass, which adds to the overall listening experience.Volume Performance: At 60-70% volume, the loudness is on the lower side. Pushing beyond this level results in a noticeable decline in audio quality, with distortion creeping in.Bluetooth Codec Issue: Sometimes, the speaker connects to SBC instead of AAC, which can impact the overall audio quality. Manually switching to AAC is required for better performance.Call FunctionalityOne of the most bizarre issues I encountered is with incoming calls. Instead of a ringtone, the speaker announces the caller’s number in Chinese. This is an odd and inconvenient feature that should ideally be customizable or disabled. Additionally, the low overall volume levels, random SBC connection issue, and the strange call alert system are notable downsides. If you’re comfortable tweaking the Equalizer and don’t mind the quirks, it’s a Great speaker for the price.

The product is okay & I have a JBL Charge 3 so I can compare that one. When play in same volume, the Lava easily beat JBL in High and Low frequency but lack in Mid frequency. That means if you are listening a cover song with very minimal instrument playing in the background, most probably JBL is more enjoyable due to the Mid tone and reverb effect. Rest everything Tribit Lava is best. The battery life I get 6hrs when playing 70 to 80% of volume. Okay and not as promised. These kind of speaker setup (woofer only & no mid driver) has its own limitations despite the fact that how good they are made. That’s the reason JBL always tuned their speakers with priorities the Mid frequency so atleast someone can enjoy songs while sacrifices few other music notes. But Tribit tune priority is set to low frequency which produces enough bass in low volume. However when you increase volume, the bass feels muddy and song losses the clarity. The highest recommend volume is 80%. Also please set your own EQ, as all the default EQs are crap. This is by far a best speaker for its value and delivers more than it actual cost. I got it way cheaper introductory price so a truly recommended product for IOk.Update post 2months of use:The real potential I discovered recently, when used an TypeC audio DAC cable (Audiocular D14) with 3.5mm Aux port, its extremely powerful and professional grade sound. The Bluetooth connection is the main culprit which just missed that wow factor in the sound quality. If you can please use any good USB dac for music consumption. Bluetooth is okay for rest everything like watching web series etc.

Its Tribit .. Never disappointedVocals are super clear , those tweeters are are doing thr job perfectly..a good speaker combines the Vocals and beats soo the whole listening experience becomes great.. Tribit has done some great R&D for that .. you will experience the speaker has grt potential for every kind of music out thr .. bluetooth connection is very convenient .. connects 2 devices at one time .. one device should pause and second starts playing.. give some throttle to your music ..with X bass button..battery backup .. is around 10-12 hours .. with X bass On ..Overall i love this speaker .. go for this .. 15k price is acceptable for this kinda performance..Keep away from dust .. as speaker mash catch dust easily.. .

I’ve owned ‘Jam Classic & Heavy’, ‘Anker’, Juice Boom Pro’ & JBL Flip & this speaker puts them to shame. The build quality is good as is the design & functionality. Comes with an ‘Aux’ port however no aux cable (I recommend ‘Eono’ Braided Aux Cable’ £4.45). The best £49.99 I’ve spent in a long time.

EDIT….So ive added a second to my setup, daisy chain/pairing the speakers together, i am truly STILL PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT THE SOUND THIS LITTLE SPEAKER OFFERS …..I do consider myself an Audiophile and have to have that “Separation ” of sounds , his , lows mids ,If glass shatters I WANNA HEAR IT HIT THE FLOOR….& This amazing BT portable small speakers got a BIG SOUND….Im using 2 with my home entertainment system as I still have an Older yet Amazing Sony Studio Reciever and my LG T.V is not sounding the way id like it to so as an add on i thought it would be perfect….well its more then perfect as the clear, crisp sound does not lack for a little bit of boom as well , perspective must be kept….but it sounds a good deal better then a few soundbars ive tried…so AGAIN A GREAT LITTLE SPEAKER WITH A HUGE SOUND….Also my compared with brands based on the J.B.L flip5 n Sony Bass …..light up same 24 watts and found the TRIBIT STORMBOX sounds as good as if not better than the Flip , as well it was actually on par with the same Sony at 1/3rd the cost , i do love Sony as a brand , tho these day’s speakers are very different but very much the same in terms of common material used in manufacturing…..Tribit has brought me happily to the age of truly GREAT PORTABLE SOUND …this is a great speaker, priced at half what its value could well be , Enjoy happy listeningI received this as a Mother’s day gift, id been shopping around for one , n in turn listening to many brands reading reviews & Etc.. so i settled in for this one as id seen so much comp.
